Backdraft is a draft variant where each player tries to build the worst possible deck because each player gives the drafted deck to another player in the tournament, to avoid mana problems players choose countries after backdrafting, this is a fun way to learn the cards – and you can’t do it wrong

A draft takes place by sitting 6 – 8 people around a table and choosing 1 card from a booster pack that is passed around – after you have drafted 3 packs you have to make a deck from the drafted cards. At the start of the draft, each player opens a booster pack and takes a single card. (Don’t show the other players what you choose!) Then you give the rest of the cards to the player on your left and you receive a pack from the other side, each player then takes cards from the boosters and passes them around until they are empty.

Then each player opens another packet and does the same, but this time, you pass the packet to the right. After all these cards have been dealt, you do the same with the third packet, which is again passed to the left.
