Wake is a family drama about a coastal fishing family in North Jutland. We follow the three sons and a friend who has always been a part of the family.
The four men gather to reminisce about better days. They try to heal old wounds and find their way through a difficult time. Meanwhile, they prepare for the inevitable death of their father. But beneath the surface, doubts, betrayals, and blame simmer.
Each of the four has their own view of the father, the fishing, the coastal town, and—most of all—each other. The father’s illness forces them to confront the future and consider whether the family can still unite around the family fishing trade as they have done for generations, or if it is the end.
Wake is a scenario about being a son and a brother, about belonging, about having a family, about responsibility, loneliness, doubt, and identity.
For who and what are you really, when your father is no longer here, and everything changes?

You bring the town, its residents, and North Jutland to life, while framing and cutting scenes. You support the players in the flow of the story by portraying a few but significant minor characters, giving the players a world to relate to and reflect upon.
