A bloody civil war has torn the kingdom apart. Four knights have helped the new king to the throne, and they all see something in him that can make a difference – that he can make it possible for them to be the men they want to be. However, the king is not the man they had hoped, and soon they see the kingdom heading towards certain doom. The question is how much of the responsibility that is theirs? And whether or not they can save the realm – or even just themselves?

Oathbound is an epic fantasy story about hopes and dreams, about the realm the knights help create, and the price they pay. But even more so it’s a story of the inevitable tragedy looming in the horizon. And finally, it’s a story of all the different wows a knight swears to uphold and all the directions they pull him in.

Large parts of the scenario is played as interviews with the game master asking the charachters questions.

Player types:

You like storytelling, but maybe also a dramatic scene of courtly intrique. You like creating a big story, and especially how to see all you’ve been fighting for collapsing with a bang.

Gamemaster type:

You must guide the story, but not necessarily control it. For large parts of the scenario, you ask the players questions about what happened, so you play a very active part. You will also have to play a couple of important supporting roles in part of the scenario.
