Then you can sign up for Fastaval! You can find the sign-up form here (link coming soon).
Sign-up for food, activities, and wear closes on 28 February. If you sign up after this deadline, you can only sign up for admission and accommodation.
It is possible to sign up in advance right up until Fastaval starts.
Accommodation
Mattress rental
If you are staying overnight at Hobro Sports Centre (standard dormitory), it is possible to rent a foam mattress to sleep on. It is not possible to rent a mattress if you are staying at Mariagerfjord Gymnasium (youth and organiser dormitories).
Bathing facilities
Both Hobro Sports Centre and Mariagerfjord Gymnasium have gender-segregated changing rooms attached to the dormitories. Hobro Sports Centre will also have a gender-neutral changing room and private bathrooms that can be used.
Dormitories
At Fastaval, there are a number of different accommodation options that can be added to your registration. In addition to specific rules for some of the dormitories, the following generally applies:
- You must behave properly and be quiet in the dormitory, even when the lights are on.
- The lights in the dormitories are turned off, but are turned on between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
- Alarms may only be set for half-hour intervals (08:30, 09:00, 09:30, etc.) and preferably not between 20:30 and 06:30. Snoozing or setting multiple alarms is not permitted.
Standard dormitory
The large dormitory at Hobro Sports Centre is the standard solution used by most of our participants. The dormitory is located 100 metres from Mariagerfjord Gymnasium, where Fastaval’s activities take place. The sports centre also houses Fastaval’s bar area, which is located a good distance from the dormitory.
Participants aged 15-17 have the opportunity to stay overnight in the youth dormitory at Mariagerfjord Gymnasium. Please note that there may be a limited number of places available.
Fastaval organisers have the option of sleeping in the organisers’ dormitory at Mariagerfjord Gymnasium. Please note that there may be a limited number of places available. Organisers with regular shifts during Fastaval will be given priority if there is a shortage of places.
Family room
Østerskov Efterskole is located 1.5 kilometres away from Mariagerfjord Gymnasium, where Fastaval’s activities take place.
Smaller dormitory
If you need to stay in a slightly quieter environment with fewer people than in a dormitory, there is the option of staying in a smaller dormitory with fewer than 30 people.
Important: Classrooms are reserved for people with special sleeping needs, and there are a limited number of places. Classrooms are sober sleeping quarters.
Other sleeping needs
If you would like to contact us regarding special needs, please write to the person responsible for accommodation at mikkel@fastaval.dk or note this in your sign-up.
If you would like to stay overnight at Fastaval but have accommodation needs that are not met by the above options, please contact the above email address as soon as possible. We cannot promise that we will be able to help, but we will be happy to try.

As a participant at Fastaval, it is your own responsibility to get to and from Fastaval, but we have gathered some information about transport options here.
Parking:
If you are arriving by car, you can park outside the secondary school and sports centre. Parking spaces may be limited, but you can usually find spaces very close by.
Public transport:
Hobro Train Station is located approximately 5 km from Mariagerfjord Gymnasium.
Hobro Bus Terminal is located approximately 2 km from Mariagerfjord Gymnasium.
You can coordinate trains and buses to Fastaval via Rejseplanen. Tickets can be found in Rejsebillet-appen or Rejsekort-appen.
Rules
Fastaval has a few simple rules that we ask everyone to follow. Violation of the rules may result in expulsion from Fastaval.
Fastaval has drawn up a social policy, that describes the values and guidelines that form the basis of our community. The social policy applies to everyone who participates in Alea’s activities and events, including Fastaval. We encourage everyone to read it and help create a strong, safe and respectful community.
Electrical appliances
It is not permitted to connect electrical appliances, such as electric kettles, toasters, etc., at the location, as this may cause power outages. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the appliance being confiscated and can be collected on the Monday after Fastaval.
Mobile phone and computer chargers are permitted.
Sale
Only Fastaval-approved sales outlets may sell food, beverages and other goods.
Payment at Fastaval service and sales outlets can only be made by debit card or Mobilepay.
Accommodation
Sleeping is only permitted in the dormitories designated by Fastaval.
For safety reasons in case of fire, the markings in the dormitories must be respected. Luggage and sleeping gear must be placed within the markings. The fire guard will move any items placed outside the markings.
It is only permitted to stay overnight at Fastaval after purchasing a ticket with accommodation, which is why the fire brigade checks wristbands at the entrance to the dormitory at the Sports Centre.
Alcohol
Consuming alcohol at Mariagerfjord Gymnasium is not permitted due to our rental agreement.
Young people under the age of 18 are not permitted to consume alcohol at Fastaval.
As a general rule, it is not permitted to bring your own alcohol to Fastaval. The exception is during the Otto party on Sunday evening, when you are welcome to bring your own drinks.
Smoking
Smoking is permitted around the clock in Tågefyrstens Dal, Fastavals smoking area behind Mariagerfjord Gymnasium, and outside the main entrance to the Sports Centre by the Bar.
In addition, smoking is permitted from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. at the exit to Ottos Stue. After that, smoking is prohibited in this area out of consideration for the neighbours.
Neighbours
Consideration must be given to neighbours at all times, but especially when staying outdoors.
Animals
Animals that are not certified service animals are not allowed at Fastaval.
Other
Under Danish law, it is illegal to consume or distribute illegal drugs.
Fastaval’s main organisers may at any time make decisions that are in the best interests of the event and its participants.
Accessibility at Fastaval
Fastaval strives to create an inclusive and accessible experience for all participants. Below you will find information about the facilities available to participants with different needs.
Quiet room
There is a dedicated quiet room available where you can take a short break between activities. If you need a break from the noise and crowds, this is a place of tranquillity. We ask that conversations and other disruptive activities take place outside the quiet room to ensure a relaxed atmosphere for all users.
Storage of medicines
For participants who need to store medication in a refrigerator, facilities are available. If you require this, please contact an organiser in the kitchen so that we can find a suitable solution.
Participant refrigerator
A shared refrigerator is available for personal use, where you can store a small amount of food if you have special needs. All items must be clearly marked with your name. The refrigerator is located outside the kitchen and will have a clear sign with the text ‘Participant refrigerator’ and guidelines for use.
Accessibility for physical disabilities
Physical disabilities
Fastaval is held at locations in Denmark that comply with legislation on accessibility for people with physical disabilities. Both the secondary school and the sports centre are accessible to wheelchair users, and there is access to disabled toilets and bathing facilities.
Any other needs?
If you have any questions about Fastaval’s locations or other accessibility issues, please feel free to contact us at info@fastaval.dk, and we will assist you as best we can.
