Fastaval is a big place with a lot of people. Participants come from all over the country, across age groups, education and gender. Some come to play a lot of role-playing games, others magic cards and some come primarily to hang out with their friends and go on holiday. But no matter who you are and why you're at Fastaval, it's important that you feel safe and secure - both as a participant and organiser
On this page, you can read about how the Fastaval organization keeps you safe and how we handle conflicts and individuals who exhibit problematic behavior. This page tells you who to contact if you have a concern or an issue you want us to know about. And who can help you before, during, and after Fastaval.
NB! Fastaval's main organizers act on the principle that we only get involved if you contact us directly; by writing us an email, via the Safety Hosts, or if you contact a member of the main organizer group personally. We do not enter conflicts or ban individuals based on rumors or information given to us on social media. Therefore it is very important that you contact us directly if you feel unsafe at Fastaval.
Safety Hosts
The Safety Hosts are an independent group of organisers who are available throughout Fastaval for a chat and a cup of coffee if you as a participant need it - if you have experienced something unpleasant or are emotionally overwhelmed.
Code of Conduct
The Code of conduct describes the values and guidelines that form the foundation of our community. It sets the framework for good behaviour and responsible interaction and explains how we handle any breaches of the policy.
Safemail
If you have an enquiry about an unsafe experience you have had, a personal conflict or experienced a breach of code of conduct, then you can contact the main organisers on the safe-mail.
Handling of individual cases
On this page, you can read more about how Fastaval handles individual cases and where to contact us.
