Documentary film in Danish with optional English subtitles. Followed by a Q&A with the director and the artist/main character. Display of Jens-Rune’s Dungeons & Dragons books and maps from a 40-year-long campaign.
Jens-Rune Gissel lives to create an enchanting world full of adventure. For 40 years, he and his friends have explored it through Jens-Rune’s unique version of the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons. Despite his remarkable achievement of producing 40 books filled with stories and imaginative drawings, he still lacks recognition from the outside world—especially from his daughters. Determined to gain acknowledgment, he sets out to showcase his life’s work in an exhibition. But navigating "the real world," particularly without email or the internet, proves to be a challenge.
A heartwarming story about passion, community, vulnerability, and a man who insists that play should remain a central part of life.
